Licensed Broker & Motor CarrierMC / USDOT Authority

Freight that has to arrive today — moved by our trucks and our network.

DirectXpress runs a hybrid model: our own box and straight trucks for local same-day freight and heavy final mile, plus a vetted carrier network for LTL across the country — dispatched and tracked on one platform.

Pallets, crates and oversized items from 150 to 1,500 lbs — warehouse to warehouse, business or residence.

The DirectXpress model

Most freight partners are a broker or a carrier. We are both.

DirectXpress holds broker authority and motor carrier authority under MC / USDOT. That means we can source capacity from a vetted carrier network and put our own drivers on your critical lanes — without handing your freight to a stranger and hoping.

Asset-light — freight brokerage

We connect shippers to a qualified carrier network, so volume spikes, new regions and long-haul LTL never wait on truck availability.

  • Vetted, insurance-verified partner carriers
  • Scales with seasonal and promotional peaks
  • Nationwide LTL through partner networks

Asset-based — self-operated fleet

Our own trucks and employed drivers handle core lanes and time-critical work, so service level, handling and exceptions stay under our control.

  • Direct control of transit time and service quality
  • Trained crews for heavy and oversized handling
  • Consistent drivers on recurring routes
Capacity integration like a broker. Execution accountability like a carrier. Both connected by one digital platform.
Two core service lines

Built for freight that parcel can’t take and truckload can’t justify.

Local same-day freight & final mile

26–53 ft box and straight trucks running palletized freight, B2B deliveries, commercial and residential drops, milk runs, hot shots and store restocks — booked in the morning, delivered the same day.

  • Pallet, crate and oversized item delivery
  • Warehouse-to-store and multi-stop routes
  • Appointment and delivery-window scheduling
  • Photo POD and signature capture

Nationwide LTL freight

Less-than-truckload service across the country through partner LTL carriers and the DirectXpress digital network — one point of contact for rating, booking, tracking, claims and billing.

  • Warehouse-to-warehouse and interstate transfers
  • Regional DC replenishment and inventory moves
  • Rate comparison across partner networks
  • Consolidated invoicing and reconciliation

The 150–1,500 lb problem

Too big for parcel. Too small for a full truck. Exactly our lane.

Furniture, appliances, building materials, fitness equipment, commercial machinery, industrial parts — heavy, bulky and non-standard freight that parcel networks damage or refuse, and that doesn’t fill a 53-footer.

DirectXpress specializes in this weight band with liftgate-capable equipment, trained two-person handling where required, and delivery experiences built for businesses and homes alike.

Every step is digital — for your team, for our dispatchers and for the carrier moving the freight.

Quote & book

Send lane, weight, dimensions and service level. Get pricing and available capacity back fast.

Match & dispatch

The platform assigns the shipment to our fleet or a vetted partner carrier, whichever serves the lane best.

Pick up & track

Live status from pickup through transit, with proactive alerts when something needs a decision.

Deliver & settle

Photo POD and signature at delivery, then consolidated billing, reconciliation and claims support.

Technology

A transportation platform, not an inbox and a spreadsheet.

Quoting, ordering, capacity matching, dispatch, pickup, in-transit tracking, proof of delivery, reconciliation, settlement, claims and exception management — digitized end to end, with our own trucks and third-party carriers managed in the same place.

  • Unified dispatch — fleet and partner capacity scheduled from one board
  • Live visibility — status, ETA and exception alerts through the whole trip
  • Digital POD — photos, signatures and notes attached to every order
  • Clean settlement — consolidated invoicing, reconciliation and claims

Why shippers switch

Control where it matters, flexibility where it helps.

01 / Accountability

One partner, not a hand-off chain

When we broker a load, we still own the outcome. When we run it ourselves, our driver is the one at the dock. Either way, you call the same team.

02 / Capacity

Peaks don’t break the plan

Promotions, seasonal surges and new store rollouts flex into partner capacity without losing service on your base lanes.

03 / Density

Route density lowers your cost

We build lane density around anchor shippers, then share that efficiency back through better pricing and tighter delivery windows.

Common questions

Before you send the first load

Both. DirectXpress holds freight broker authority as well as motor carrier authority under MC / USDOT. We can arrange transportation through vetted third-party carriers, or move the freight ourselves with our own trucks and drivers.

Our specialty is the 150–1,500 lb band: palletized, crated, heavy and oversized freight that parcel networks handle poorly. We also move larger multi-pallet loads and full local routes, and we ship lighter freight when it travels with the rest of your volume.

Yes. We cover warehouse-to-warehouse, warehouse-to-business and warehouse-to-residential lanes, including appointment scheduling, delivery windows, heavy item handling and photo proof of delivery for residential receivers.

Yes. Local same-day and final mile run on our own fleet and local partners, while nationwide LTL moves through partner LTL carriers and our digital network — all managed and invoiced through the same platform.

Send us a lane list or a few representative shipments. We price them, agree a service level, run a pilot on your toughest lane, then scale into a standing schedule or dedicated route.

Send us your hardest lane.

The one with the tight window, the residential drop, the 900 lb crate, the store that only receives before 10am. That is the shipment we want to quote.
